Hey

Just wanna thank the kind soul that bought me these when I was freezing! Awesome.

I meet familiar faces at sitex like Yi Ci and Andy. Super small world.

Jennifer and I met to watch New Moon today! I’m suppose to be practicing for the upcoming show but the band suck so much that I feel like taking a break. Can’t believe both the Twilight series had been rated down when it’s so cool.

Starbucks is on the house today so we queued for it!

The green tea latte is rich and creamy but after pouring down half a cup, it’s a little cloying for my liking.

I just gotta keep doing it. One day I can be who I want to be.

National Museum

Last saturday, after the Bukit Timah hike, we went to the museum at night to view the Living Gallery exhibition. It’s freaking crowded there so we all know that so many people didn’t care about swine flu.

*Most pictures are taken at angles such that no human swarm entered my frame of photo shots.

I have no idea what this is suppose to mean.

Then, we went to view the Films and Wayang.

These are cases where the reels are kept.

Puppets.

Handcuffs used in chinese opera.

Ornaments used in chinese opera.

These are for Beijing opera.

Costumes.

This is the stage for the puppets.

Then we moved on to Food.

Ceramic bowls, spoons and containers.

Wok for char quay teow!

Tutu kueh. Okay, tututututu.

Nasic lemak in the basket.

Aerated drinks.

Herbs and remedies.

Spices and fruits.

Moulds for kuehs and love letters.

Buzzing away.

It’s kinda of frustrating because we waited for the fireworks for half an hour with mum chanting away, complaining how her legs are aching. Finally it sparked off. Yay.

Ciao.

Ohaiyo

We made sushi for breakfast today. Mum weighed and cooked the rice.

Freshly cut ingredients.

Salmon sliced by an amateur.

Vinegar, wasabi and seaweed.

End product was not shown because it looked horrible. The taste however is smilar to those sold in the sushi outlets.

My sushi platter! Random.

Bro and I made this. Salmon was too thick.

Yumyum. Sushi-ing o

Pergi makan

Last sunday was mum birthday so  sis suggested we go Chinatown to eat.

Kimchi pancake and fried dumpling . I like this one a lot.

Dokpogi (Rice cake).  Spicy and tasty!

The side dishes.

This taste horrible. The meat is too tough and the skin tasted like rubber.

Smells good

I saw this on my way home.

Pretty.

Here’s what happen on my birthday. Walk around orchard searching for a place where we never eat at before.  We set our eyes on pasta cafe. We pretty much eat through the entire night. The food taste surprisingly good. (Partially due to our growling stomach)

Iced cappuccino. I love it! Bittersweet with ice cream.

Appetizer – Calamari.

I don’t know why we always eat pasta.

The dory fish and chicken are tender.

Taste okay. Those you can get in NTUC.

This is nice despite the  unripe kiwi.

My family and I love to eat. When we go out, we will eat and eat and eat. After eating, we will still feel like eating. So we will buy sushi, ice cream, snacks… at some other place. (“Oh that’s horrible. You need yo watch your diet.”)

This room is sound proof! I didn’t know that until last week. I want one in my house. Thanks to Harry Potter for the trea

Food

We celebrated bro’s birthday at Bistro Délifrance.

The bland spaghetti.

The soup tasted weird.

I got the chance to travel around Singapore with my current job. So, last Saturday my colleague drove to Casuarina Road and we had prata! The aroma of curry fills the prata shop but we sat near the roadside.

prata

Half eaten prata.  We ordered many pratas but we managed to finish them. I love the teh tarik.

Driving back to return the stocks, we spotted a troops of monkeys. I was like so excited when we drove by them. LOL.

I really love the jog that makes me sweat and playing 四色牌 at Yifang’s void deck.

Dining Out

Rushed down to celebrate my sister’s birthday at Waraku. Eat like a japanese!

Gobbled up the main course so there’s only some pictures of the desserts.

Gotta go.
